Stafford

We Are the perfect combination

It all comes together in Stafford: a unique blend of traditional and modern businesses alongside a wealth of heritage and historic buildings; and an urban setting with growing housing numbers, a healthy jobs market, and ‘outstanding’ schools and colleges, surrounded by Cannock Chase National Landscape.

Unrivalled links to all parts of the country make this a perfect place to invest, with two junctions of the M6, trains reaching Birmingham in half an hour, an hour to Manchester or Liverpool and London in under 80 minutes, and four international airports around an hour’s drive away.

Transforming Stafford

The town centre is undergoing a major transformation, across several developments.

The Guildhall Shopping Centre was purchased through Future High Street Funding and is currently being prepared for commercial and residential redevelopment, retaining the iconic frontage located at the foot of the refurbished Market Square.

The former Co-op Department Store, derelict for more than a decade, is being demolished to create an investment opportunity for residential, retail, hospitality and market development.

And the Stafford Station Gateway consists of 28 hectares of brownfield land with proposals for 30,000 sq ft of commercial space, up to 900 homes, 15,000 sq ft of leisure and retail, a hotel and multi-storey car park. Backed by £20m of Government funding, the site is also home to the new £22.5m Institute of Technology which opens to students in autumn 2025.
