East Staffordshire

We Are A Great Place to Grow

Perfectly located for both East and West Midlands, East Staffordshire mixes industrial heritage with beautiful rural settings. The principal towns are Burton upon Trent, world-renowned for its brewing industry as well as manufacturing and logistics; and Uttoxeter, with its famous racecourse and outdoor markets, close to Alton Towers, England’s National Football Centre and the Peak District – and also home to the worldwide headquarters of JCB.

9.2%

population growth between 2011 and 2021, the largest in Staffordshire

of the National Forest surrounding Burton features woodland walks, cycle routes and canal towpaths.

High street regeneration focus

Investment in the area is currently centred on our High Streets.

The Burton High Street Project will see a large area between the High Street and River Trent transformed with a variety of new uses, including an upmarket hotel, a wildlife visitor and education centre; a brewing heritage and social history experience, food and drink outlets and more. The scheme also includes the renewal of the historic Market Hall further along the town’s rural asset of the Washlands,

In Uttoxeter, a project to redevelop a dilapidated shopping precinct in the town centre to introduce new uses and activity, and reconnect with the nearby historic High Street, aims to reinvigorate the town centre for residents and visitors alike.
